Elev8Me is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it โ in plain English.
1. Who We Are
Elev8Me is operated as a sole trader business registered in England and Wales. Our platform is accessible at elev8me.uk. For all privacy-related matters, contact us at hello@elev8me.uk.
We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our services. We process your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data you provide directly
- Email address โ collected when you join the waitlist or create an account
- Password โ stored in encrypted form via Netlify Identity; we never see your password in plain text
- Survey responses โ if you complete our product feedback survey
- Support communications โ any emails you send to hello@elev8me.uk
2.2 Data generated through use of the service
- Session data โ which scenarios you practise, difficulty level, session duration, and turn counts
- Conversation content โ the text of your practice conversations with the AI
- Voice recordings โ if you use voice mode, your spoken input is transcribed by your browser's speech recognition API; we do not store audio recordings
- Performance scores โ estimated scores generated during and after sessions
2.3 Data collected automatically
- Log data โ IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps โ collected by Netlify's infrastructure
- Usage analytics โ aggregate, anonymised data about how the platform is used
Voice mode note: When you use voice input, your speech is processed locally by your browser's Web Speech API (typically Google's speech recognition service). Elev8Me does not transmit or store audio recordings. The resulting text transcript is processed by our AI service to generate a response.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data only for the following purposes:
- Service delivery โ to provide you with access to the Elev8Me platform and its features
- Account management โ to manage your subscription, send access invitations, and handle billing
- Service improvement โ to understand how the platform is used and improve scenario quality, AI responses, and user experience
- Communications โ to send you session summaries, product updates, and โ with your consent โ marketing communications
- Legal obligations โ to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our legal rights
Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (to deliver the service you've signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve the service and prevent abuse), and consent (for marketing communications).
4. Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements:
4.1 Infrastructure & hosting
- Netlify โ website hosting, form submissions, and identity management (USA; covered by Standard Contractual Clauses)
- Cloudflare โ DNS management and security (USA; covered by Standard Contractual Clauses)
4.2 AI processing
- Anthropic โ the AI that powers conversation practice sessions. Your conversation text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models by default.
- ElevenLabs โ text-to-speech service used to vocalise AI responses in voice mode. Text is sent to ElevenLabs' API; no audio of your voice is sent to ElevenLabs.
4.3 Payments
- Stripe โ payment processing for paid subscriptions. We do not store your card details; these are handled entirely by Stripe.
4.4 Email
- Zoho Mail โ used to send transactional emails (invitations, session summaries) from hello@elev8me.uk
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account:
- Your account data and session history are deleted within 30 days
- Conversation content is deleted within 30 days
- Anonymised aggregate usage data (with no personally identifiable information) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes
- Financial records are retained for 7 years in accordance with HMRC requirements
6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access โ to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification โ to request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure โ to request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction โ to request that we limit how we process your data
- Right to portability โ to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object โ to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent โ where processing is based on consent, to withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@elev8me.uk. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
Elev8Me uses only the cookies strictly necessary to operate the service:
- Authentication cookies โ set by Netlify Identity to maintain your login session
- Security cookies โ set by Cloudflare for DDoS protection and security
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

Terms & Conditions
By accessing or using Elev8Me, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Elev8Me platform, operated at elev8me.uk ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you enter into a binding agreement with Elev8Me.
These Terms were last updated in January 2026 and are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Description of the Service
Elev8Me is an AI-powered conversation practice platform that allows users to rehearse high-stakes workplace conversations. The Service includes:
- AI-simulated role-play scenarios for professional development
- Text and voice-based practice sessions
- Post-session performance debriefs and coaching feedback
- A user dashboard tracking progress over time
Important: Elev8Me is an educational and professional development tool. It is not a substitute for professional coaching, legal advice, HR guidance, or mental health support. The AI characters, scenarios, and feedback are simulations designed for practice purposes only.
3. Accounts & Access
3.1 Account creation
Access to Elev8Me requires a registered account. During the beta phase, access is by invitation only. You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
3.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Elev8Me. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The Service is intended for professional use and is designed for working adults in professional environments.
3.3 Account security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@elev8me.uk if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
3.4 One account per user
Each subscription is for a single named user. Sharing account credentials with others is not permitted and may result in termination of your account.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
4.1 Plans
Elev8Me offers the following subscription plans:
- Entry Level โ text-based practice, limited scenario access
- Professional โ full access including voice mode, all scenarios, and detailed debriefs
- Beta Access โ free Professional plan access for a defined trial period, as notified at the time of invitation
4.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise recurring charges at the applicable subscription rate until you cancel.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable consumer law.
4.4 Price changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' written notice to registered users. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
4.5 Consumer rights
If you are a consumer based in the UK, you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription from the date of purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless you have already used the Service during that period.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our content
All content on Elev8Me โ including but not limited to scenario designs, prompt structures, platform design, copy, and software โ is owned by or licensed to Elev8Me and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
5.2 Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create through use of the Service (including your practice session inputs). By using the Service, you grant Elev8Me a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content for the purpose of delivering the Service and improving it (in anonymised, aggregated form).
5.3 AI-generated content
Responses generated by the AI during practice sessions are produced by Anthropic's Claude model. We make no claims of ownership over AI-generated outputs and they should not be relied upon as professional advice.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular purpose.
6.2 Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elev8Me's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages.
6.3 Consumer rights preserved
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK consumer law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or if we reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@elev8me.uk.
8. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Acceptable Use Policy
Elev8Me is a professional platform. This policy sets out what you can and cannot do when using the Service. It exists to keep the platform safe, useful, and effective for everyone.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of Elev8Me and supplements the Terms and Conditions. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
2. Permitted Use
Elev8Me is designed for the following purposes:
- Practising and improving professional workplace communication skills
- Rehearsing high-stakes conversations such as negotiations, feedback delivery, and stakeholder management
- Building confidence and competence in navigating complex professional dynamics
- Personal professional development
You may use the Service for your own professional development. You may not share, resell, or provide access to the Service to others outside of your own account.
3. Prohibited Use
You must not use Elev8Me to:
3.1 Harmful or abusive content
- Input abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory language into the platform
- Attempt to generate content that demeans, targets, or harms any individual or group
- Use the platform to simulate or practise harassment, bullying, or coercion of real individuals
3.2 Misuse of the AI
- Attempt to "jailbreak," manipulate, or extract the underlying system prompts or instructions from the AI
- Try to make the AI break character or reveal its operational instructions
- Use prompt injection or adversarial inputs to cause the AI to behave outside its intended purpose
- Attempt to use the AI for purposes unrelated to professional practice (e.g. generating creative writing, coding, or general knowledge queries)
3.3 Illegal or harmful activities
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to obtain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code into the Service
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform
3.4 Misrepresentation
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or organisation
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent access restrictions or abuse free trial periods
- Provide false information during account registration or billing
3.5 Commercial exploitation
- Resell, sublicence, or otherwise commercialise access to the Service without our written permission
- Use the platform to train, fine-tune, or develop competing AI models or products
- Copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform's scenario structure, prompts, or methodology
4. AI-Generated Content
The AI characters and responses within Elev8Me are simulations designed for practice purposes. Please be aware of the following:
Not professional advice: AI-generated responses, coaching notes, and debriefs are practice tools only. They do not constitute legal, HR, financial, or psychological advice. Do not rely on them as guidance for actual workplace situations without independent professional input.
The AI is designed to simulate challenging professional dynamics including deflection, political behaviour, and resistance tactics. This is intentional โ the purpose is to prepare you for difficult real-world conversations. If at any point you find the content distressing, you may end the session immediately.
Elev8Me is not responsible for decisions you make in your professional life based on practice sessions conducted on the platform.
5. Enforcement
5.1 Monitoring
We reserve the right to monitor use of the Service to ensure compliance with this AUP. We will not routinely read your conversation content, but may review it where we have reason to believe this AUP has been violated.
5.2 Consequences of violation
Depending on the severity of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a warning
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account without refund
- Report activity to relevant authorities where required by law
5.3 Reporting
If you encounter content or behaviour that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to hello@elev8me.uk. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
5.4 Appeals
If your account is suspended or terminated and you believe this was in error, contact us at hello@elev8me.uk within 14 days with the subject line "Account Appeal." We will review and respond within 7 business days.
